Reduce Print Costs - Education

We have extensive experience in the delivery of software, photocopiers and printers within education establishments and a proven track record of providing complete cost saving print management solutions to schools, colleges and universities.

Obviously service and support is paramount and we maintain our print systems to the highest standards, however what makes us unique is understanding the working practices of your school or college and the ability to create a coherent print strategy geared towards saving you money.

ITQ will develop tailored in-depth print strategies using the very latest technologies which can include solutions such as mobile printing and scanning directly into SIMS from our multifunctional printers and scanners. Correct integration with Schools Information Management Systems (SIMS) and other systems is the key to streamlining tasks and increasing efficiency which improve workflow and reduce administrative costs.

ITQ’s Mobile Printing for Students uses Safecom’s Mobile Print solution with quota control to enable students to use their own devices without network security issues and with Follow Me printing students and staff alike can collect prints from anywhere on campus.

Request Cost Per Pupil

Let ITQ calculate what your printing costs should be.

"A lower cost-per-page is only half the answer to reducing document costs"

Our job is to form strategy for the school first and then consider requirements.

  • Don’t focus on more hardware to reduce costs. Create a strategy first then once this has been implemented consider your hardware needs.
  • Draw up a structure for a cost per page for usage on printers, multi-functional systems and the print room. These costs should reflect the ‘real world’ costs to the school. Every piece of paper printed or copied should have a cost attached to it which needs to be recovered by staff or students.
  • Focus on one system to manage and account for all printing, copying and print room usage. One reporting system for all document output.
  • Implement a method to release documents from any device so paper can be controlled throughout the campus. Consider integrating this method with access control, cashless catering, registration and identification cards.
  • Consider and agree a policy for student printing and research their printing needs. Students have a strong requirement for mobile printing and increasingly we see many schools and colleges looking for solutions to control Wifi printing. Address these issues in advance of any rollout of hardware.

"There is an easy way to provide simple and effective document security"
